Recapping year 2009.
Beware. LOL. Not beware of dogs,'kay? It is beware of the long post ahead.
Year 2009 is a memorable ones in many ways.
Lets get started, shall we?

Okay, after typing it all down, I felt that it is a tad too long. I'm summarising it down a little.
Here we go!
January - The pilot. Hoping for a good start!
February - When I thought things are going well...
March - I can't remember a thing that is worth mentioning.
April - The beginning again, this time, into the virtual world.
May - When virtual gets too good, perils hit the real one! But hey, I get to fly!
June - A month of blues.
July - The prelude to endless trips to Kay Elle. And vacation with me family!
August - Leaning Tower, here we come! And the bad omen strikes!
September - Home again and more injuries! It is the start of "ber" months.
October - Cooling down, enjoying small town. OMG, it's HALLOWEEN!
November - I *heart* November. It calms me down!
December - Jingle bell, jingle bell, and it is time to welcome 2010 and bid farewell to 2009.
And if you are interested in the longer version, keep scrolling, babe! Buckle up and get ready for a long ride!
1, 2, 3, GO!

The highlight of the month, I think, would be my appearance. I took a rather large step, at least outer appearance, in changing my hairstyle. Okay, my hair was exactly the same length as now, but it was always tied up. Bro even commented, "Eh, stop tying your hair. Later botak." Anyways, I got my hair permed and dyed. Curly, eh? It took me a freaking 5 hours sitting there waiting for my hair to be done. (First time in my life. Good bye to my a-bit-straight and black hair.) When I walked into the saloon, it felt as though a sheep is being dragged into wolves den. I went in, sat down like a blur little kid, and just nodded my head to what the hairdresser said. -_- Hence, I got my hair permed instead of initial decision to straighten it.
Most of my relatives and friends were shocked actually, especially my colleagues. I told them I wanted to straighten my hair. My ex-housemate even laughed at me. For someone who asked me to read more women's magazines and behave like a girl, he actually laughed when I permed my hair. Goodness. :-\ Even my aunt made a remark, "Oh you look more girly now. :D" So, now I know that I have been so not girly all these while. Hmmm. Even my sister said,"Eh, your brother-in-law asked if you have a boyfriend already. How come suddenly start to change?" *slaps forehead*
Oh oh, I have even changed the wardrobe. From huge / baggy T-shirts to polo shirts. (Hey hey, at least is an improvement! Baby steps, yo!)
February - When I thought things are going well...
I think we celebrated CNY. Well, it was somewhere end of Jan / beginning of Feb anyway. Things were good because I spent a rather long time at my hometown. I was the last one to report back to work! Well, it was supposed to be a great beginning for the year of Cow. Somehow, I came back to Muar, the sight that greeted me wasn't exactly very pleasant. Burglars broke into the house, ransacked my room. Both my housemates were already arrived earlier than me, yet they were not aware that the house got broke in. They thought the landlord left all our doors opened. -_-""
Funniest thing? Those baskets never took the watch / laptop / coins on my housemates’ rooms. Instead they ransacked my drawers (locked, btw) and got away with MYR240. Argh, the money was supposed to be donated to the Buddhist society on behalf of my colleague. Darn.
That aside, February also marked the first plant shutdown of the year and all employees were forced to take unpaid leave.
March - I can't remember a thing that is worth mentioning.
Hmm, for real, I can't recall how my March 2009 went. Busy with work, I guess. I spent rather lot of time in Muar then, playing games on PC and PS2. So, March, there is nothing much except being forced to take unpaid leave by my company due to economy downturn.
April - The beginning again, this time, into the virtual world.
I guess boredom finally got me and drove me up the wall. I finally involved myself in a forum. It was really a sudden decision. :)
That also marks my first time chatting with strangers and progress into meeting them in real life. And well, I have no regrets, at least not now, that I have met them. There is a lot to gain, and little to lose.
The only thing I was losing since beginning was money. Forced leave was still on commencing.
(p/s: I started to blog in April too!)
May - When virtual gets too good, perils hit the real one! But hey, I get to fly!
I don't know what exactly to say about this month. I arrived at a crossroad in my career life. I was told that I would be sent to Cavite, Philippines for a system training and alignment. It just means one thing, that I would be bonded for 1.5 years for 5 days there. My rational mind said it is not worth for a 5 days training there in exchange for 1.5 years bond. Moreover, I have gone through similar training (exactly the same) in Singapore a year ago. But the decision was a hard one to be made. I was torn between being tied up at the current environment (which I am not exactly very fond of, but could put up with it) or resign. It was hard to choose as I have to choose between stability and unknown. Stability because I will be guaranteed a job with income for 1.5 years. Unknown because if I resigned, I was not too sure if I could find a new job or being financially independent. It was a tough decision, to be bonded or to go. Click here to read how SC feels when in dilemma.
In the end, the circumstances changed, I went ahead with the trip. That was the first time I went so far away from Malaysia (aside from Singapore) and the first time I took a flight. :D
It was really an eye opener to be in Cavite, to experience the environment / culture there. At that time was also the beginning for swine flu pandemic. I fell sick over there and got quarantine for 2 days out of the 5 days there. But all is well because it was just normal sickness where I can't get used to the environment there. (They said it must be the drinking water, judging from what I have been drinking in Malaysia.)
June - A month of blues.
I don't even know why I was so emo back then. Looking back at the posts, I was kind of being emo. See the posts here, here, here and here.
The forced unpaid leaves have stopped, yet I was still that emo.
For the first time in my life, I'm given the red bomb. :) Invitation to a colleague's wedding dinner. It was rather touching, as the bridegroom sang his bride a song and kneeled down while presenting her a bouquet of flowers. :) Serenading, I supposed.
July - The prelude to endless trips to Kay Elle. And vacation with me family!
It was a special month. Remember I said, I chatted with a few strangers online? It was only in July, I met them in real person. I was happy and excited to meet them. And I still remember going to one of their house and had a dinner together with the family members (to celebrate birthday :)) I still have the picture with me. And, nope, I am not putting it up here. Muahahaha.
I really had fun and it was really a pleasure to meet the 3 of you.
Of course, that was not the end of our meeting. And yeah, I did meet up with 2 other but we never keep in touch anymore. :) But still it was a good experience and it was fun listening to you guys telling your life experiences.
July is also a month where we decided to celebrate Dad's birthday by going on a vacation. It wasn't exactly a very long but all of us had fun. It was the first time Dad and Mum boarding a plane. :) I know it was rather a short trip and we did not go very far. But one of these days, I'll bring you to somewhere else! :D Give me some time!
And we did a combined celebration of Dad's and elder brother's birthday together. :)
August - Leaning Tower, here we come! And the bad omen strikes!
There was nothing much happening in the early August. But at that time I was anticipating for a road trip to my hometown, Teluk Intan and Ipoh with my newly made friends (remember, the 3 online friends I met in July?). And also a planned trip to KL to fetch Sleeping Princess's sister from the airport.
Little did I know that there were things waiting for me.
I knocked my head in the most idiotic way that one could do it to one self. Yours truly slammed the car door against her head. -_- To top it off, it is the corner of the door that collided with my right side of the head. My friend swore that she heard a loud thud. It was a spontaneous reaction to move my head back into the car, while my hand couldn't stop in time to not slam the door. Lesson learnt. Seriously, it hurts.
And in the month of August as well, I met with two accidents within a week time frame. -_- Can't be any luckier, eh?
Well, I guess when one's luck hit the lowest point; there will be a good turnaround. :D I received good news in this month. Good news in career, not personal life. Haha. :D I'm officially a senior engineer. Not something to be very proud of, it is more like a recognition for me.
September - Home again and more injuries! It is the start of "ber" months.
I make it a point to go back home every year in September. (Well, I managed to do what for 2 years already! Including this year!) Mum's birthday fell exactly on the Hari Raya. :) That only means that I get to stay longer in TI this round. As usual, nothing really much happened in September other than the fact that I was injured a few times. Mainly due to the badminton sessions.
Oh it was also the first month without one of my housemate. He moved out due to some reasons. Oh well, which also means the starting of my internet withdrawal symptoms. He took the Streamyx with him. And I don't want to sign another 1 year contract with Streamyx.
P/S: According to my colleagues from Cavite, Philippines, they actually got excited when the month names changes to "ber". It means Christmas is near! @_@
October - Cooling down, enjoying small town. OMG, its HALLOWEEN!
Even small town can feel earthquake.
I slowed down on travelling in October and enjoyed lurking around Muar and Malacca. Or should I say hopping around? Haha.
And I bought myself a watch!
It wasn't long till I picking up the engine again, by travelling to KL and this time, for a forum gathering on Halloween night. Normally I introduce myself using my real name. :) And somehow they managed to make a joke out of it. *sweat*
November - I *heart* November. It calms me down!
It also means that I am officially a quarter century old. :)
It was one of the best birthdays that I ever had. Firstly I had a great dinner with my family. And thank you again for all the presents I have received from my friends. :)
I've managed to squeeze in some time to meet up with friends as well. It is a good thing, isn't it?
It is also the first time, I drove up to Klang alone, and looking for a place where I have little idea on where is it. -_- Also the first time I turn around the roundabouts for so many times. Hahaha. But I was glad that I went on to this trip. Oh, there was a sense of accomplishment on travelling to Klang and back to USJ and then to PJ for the first time on my own!
Oh, highlight of the year. Most of my friends (note: most) knows that I'm really stingy when it comes to myself. I have been saying that I wanted something for years, yet I never buy them. A friend said, that could mean that you don't really want them so much. Hmm, I don't know. I can't just spend the money like that. -.-"" However, I made a difference this time. I have, finally, bought a phone for myself.
December - Jingle bell, jingle bell, and it is time to welcome 2010 and bid farewell to 2009.
Yo, yo! It's Deccember and is a month of celebration! Hurray! Frankly, it is a bit sad to bid farewell to year 2009 and I am really afraid of what 2010 will offer me. This is coming from a person who likes to watch a series in this manner. 1st episode, last episode, then if it is good, I'll watch the in between episodes. I really wish to know what will be ahead. I started December by being almost got caged. And hopefully I'll end it in a better way. So far so good.
Nothing much going on in December actually, except that I'm celebrating Christmas / New Year in Muar. Oh oh, and I'm going to make some changes here and there.
Hmm that is all for year 2009. Nothing really exciting. But for me, I think I've progressed a little compare to the previous years. Merci beaucop!
P/S: OMG, I really wrote a long one. It is like more than 2k of words! I pasted it in Word and it is almost 5 pages! *FUH*
P/S2: Au revoir, 2009. Bonjour, 2010. :D
